UNS Mathematics Student Wins Best Paper Award at iMEC & APCOMS 2024 in Malaysia
Melaka, Malaysia – September 12, 2024 – Dedi Arianto, a talented student from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), has been awarded the prestigious Best Paper Award at the international conference iMEC & APCOMS 2024. The event took place from September 11-12, 2024, in Melaka, Malaysia.
Dedi’s award-winning paper, titled “Vehicle AC Compressor’s Piston Defect Classification with DCGAN – Enhance CNN,” showcases groundbreaking research in the field of defect classification using advanced machine learning techniques. His work applied a combination of Deep Convolutional Generative Adversarial Networks (DCGAN) and Enhanced Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) to classify defects in vehicle air conditioning compressor pistons, contributing significantly to the advancement of automated diagnostics in automotive engineering.
