UNS Mathematics Student Invited for Student Mobility and Research Program at University of Malaya
Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – September 10, 2024 – Dedi Arianto, a distinguished student from the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS), has been invited by Prof. Dr. Zailan Siri from the Institute of Mathematical Sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Malaya, for a prestigious student mobility and research outbound program. The program took place from September 10-13, 2024.
During this program, Dedi Arianto participated in joint research and co-authored a publication with Prof. Dr. Zailan Siri, focusing on a cutting-edge project titled “Generative Adversarial Network Enhanced With LSTM and CNN for Improving Indonesian LQ45 Stock Price Forecasting.” This research combines Generative Adversarial Networks (GAN), Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) networks, and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) to enhance the accuracy of stock price predictions for Indonesia’s LQ45 index, contributing to the financial and data science fields.
This international collaboration underscores UNS’s commitment to fostering academic excellence and global partnerships. Dedi’s involvement in this program not only elevates his personal achievements but also strengthens UNS’s position in international research and innovation.
